Hollywood Agent - The Silver Empire by Cochino Games

Got to 88 after a few runs of trying to figure out the mechanics. It could do with some explanation, even just some simple in-game images on a bespoke screen somewhere.

I think the main wonky aspect of the mechanics is that you seem to NEED to take damage in order to DEAL damage? Which I think would work better if there was SOME way to heal that didn't entail needing to be angry.

Either way, really interesting little project, best of luck to the dev.

It’s rlly cool

I just love this, perfekt!

Took me a couple goes to understand the anger mechanic but once I did I had fun. I think the game could benefit from a tutorial page on the start menu or tutorial levels. Otherwise it's very interesting game.

This game is so hard

Can u pick up the sword or throw bombs? Srry I’m at the laundromat and I couldn’t figure out fast enough lmao. Graphics are top tier tho

My new high score—(Edit: 139! I think this last edit is the maximum possible? Maybe RNG at this point for enemy spawns?)—easier than cave of cards definitely, but somehow way more satisfying? Figuring out ways to arrange all the crates when you're Blue so that you can kill everyone AND get all the crated loot is a nice little puzzle.

Is there any other way to change back to red other than attacking something? If not, at some point, if you're blue, and don't have any hearts left as red, you instantly die.

Took me a while to figure it out, but once I did, it was very fun and addictive. Great concept, great graphics, great game!

I can't say I completely understand how this works, but it's interesting as all hell. Definitely gonna keep playing it

I love it! Great work!

very fun... just a question though... do you HAVE to take damage to get into your rage state?

I know how the mechanics work now, if something is next to the object and you try to hit or push the object into it's direction (like a crate, enemy, wall, heart or the points ) then you swap, but if it is an enemy they attack, ex:

enemy not against anything

enemy against wall

hope this helps!

I wound up in a no-win configuration.  There were three enemies, but each of them had items behind them, and I was pinned in a corner with two brick walls preventing any other movement.  Unless there's another game mechanic I'm unaware of, I couldn't have gotten out of that corner.

Two runs later, I got this:

And then immediately in my next game (albeit this one was my own fault for not pre-planning my strategy, but):

Is there something I'm supposed to be able to do at this point, or is it simply Game Over on Floor 1 at this point?

New record.

This does seem really cool on the onset, I like the mood and I believe others who say it’s very fun. Unfortunately, like some players, I do not understand the mechanics. I don’t need necessarily an in-game tutorial, but just some way to understand what I’m doing. Sometimes I push a thing; sometimes I switch places; sometimes the thing can attack me; and sometimes not. I find no logic to these different events. Just an image card with some base interactions would get me going.

i really like this game. my high score is 130! i think i figured out most of the mechanics. this is a fun game.

tried to get the bounty on all floors, I got so close but didn't have any hp left to kill all the pink things :(

I want to like it... but the game doesn't do enough to teach the player why  things happen, or more importantly don't happen. an example is when a movement arrow turns solid. This seems to suggest the item can now be punched, and sometimes that's true, but other times it simple swaps position with you the same as the other type of arrow icon.

In short, in the absence of a tutorial level or instructions in the description, it suffers from UI confusion which is just frustrating.

i never saw the solid arrow swap, maybe you found a bug. it's taken me a while to figure out what all the rules are but that's been part of fun and and once you get them, they're consistent

It took me a level or two to really get it, but once I did, it was super fun!

got my highest score so far!

Hmm... I don't really get it, and I don't know if I have the investment to figure it out.

WASD

hhmmmmm i miiiight be able to get ESDF working, that helped on KOLYDR.... i always forget that the arrow keys on some keyboards are Not Very Fun...

ESDF should work now!

Great game!

EXCELLENT run, triple figures is a flex

Hey. What a cool game!! I liked the 80s vibe. And it's a nice puzzle game.

Yeah, same response as EnamersU.A - I was a little confused at first, and then delighed while learning and after understanding the rules (mostly). Gargoyles are unkillable?

(correct <3)

I'm so impressed by how varied and expressive all the decision making is on such a tight grid while still feeling totally intuitive.

I really like this game and the idea of your setup phase being something you need to work around being triggered, but I pray you tweak the floor generation, enemies in a 2x2 formation cannot be killed without items (which the game does not always give you) and can even softlock the game if you spawn into a floor with 2x2 enemies next to the entrance

edit: I did not know you could break walls until now, nor that the game was NOT endless, rlly fun game! no notes
