wow. this is definitely a VERY GOOD retro card game!
Fun Game! :D
It's possible to get a few hearts more than this if you are very lucky and precise with farming the spreading mushroom enemy, but the chances of you being able to do it down to the last digit are very remote. I think this is the best I'm going to get.
Hey Crumplepunch! I’m working on a unique 3d tower defense game called Grandmother Defence. it’s a third person but with hidden objects mechanics. Would love to see your take on it! and It’s up on itch.io here https://ahmednaboot.itch.io/grandmother-defence BTW, it has a 100% high score system — would be epic to see how close you can get! 👀 If you play it, totally drop your score — I dare you to hit 100 😎
amazing game, addictive gameplay, 10/10

Um jogo simples mas muito divertido, gostei demais do game
Love it
Fantastic! I love it. The kinda game experience that inspires me! I love some bite sizes brilliance
I got 701. Not quite a perfect game, I think 750 is possible.
>First time playing
>"Crap I keep dying all the time, this game hard"
>"Hey what does X do?"
>"Oh."
>Last run: Flawless Victory, 580 points.

Very fun game!
I found a set up to farm a bunch of hearts from the spreading thing, and then cleared the rest of the map using just hearts
395 new best
451 now
490
I've gotten exactly 490 like 4 times now
531
It was a hell of a lot of fun learning how the game works!
This is my best result.
340

HOLY CRAP
YOUR GAME DISTRACTED ME A LOT. GOOD JOB!!!!!!! :3
great job... my best is 560 so far
If you don't want to know how the game works, look away.
Now here's how the game works.
Spades are used to dig out the drt.
Swords are used to kill enemies
Diamonds are currency for the shop.
Hearts are your health. You can use it for anything, but if you reach 0, you lose.
Press X to open the shop. There, you will find two new things.
The boxes with the plus in them are upgrades. They let you play 1 more card per upgrade.
The plus-es are wildcards. They count as every suit.
I hope you found this guide helpful.

This is a godsend. Praise the ToffeeMaster 🙏
It took me a little while. I was tempted to add the enemies, but that just seemed overkill.
I love this game. Exploring the mechanics of a game and understanding them by myself is something I enjoy a lot. It's nice to play a game so small, yet so perfectly centered around this.
Fun! Score: 120. Ended with 12 hearts, 34 shop points, 18 spades and 12 swords because the last set of cards I took were 6 wilds LOL
while this may be suboptimal in terms of your score i think it is still badass
HOW DO YOU OPEN DE DOOR ON PC PLS HELP
the door will unlock once the whole board is clear <3 good luck!
thank
had no effin clue what i was doing at first, still a lil confused, but it gets betta
I got hooked on it trying to figure out the mechanics, pretty fun game
this was cool to read, i put a lot of focus into thinking about how players might learn the game a little at a time, its nice to see that paid off !
pls add tutoriallllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Personally after trying, I think it's more fun to learn the game from experimenting directly!
:) :( :) :( :)
Missed opportunity to make clubs into literal clubs as a replacement for swords.
Pertty fun once you get the hang of it, which takes a little while.
Great game!
score: 234
Hmm... it's interesting to say the least.
It took me several runs to figure out how the game works. After that it required a lucky starting position to clear the cave. I got a score of 400.
Took me a while to figure out how to play, but by my fifth or seventh time I got a score of 200.
For folks who need some pointers:
Hearts are used for either Attack or Dig
Diamonds are used for Currency
Spades are used for Dig
and Swords (Clubs) are used for Attack
You get different amounts of reward for stacking certain items in your inventory.
3 Spades give 3 Dig resource, but 3 Diamonds give 5 Currency.
Your final score is based on how many total Hearts you have at the end.
My current best score:

Not perfect, but I'm getting close.

GAH! So close. I made one little error right at the end, and shorted myself 5 Diamonds which I could have used to buy two more Hearts.

The Deck Chart
x: He, Di, Sp, Cl
1: 00, 01, 01, 00
2: 00, 03, 03, 01
3: 01, 05, 06, 02
4: 02, 07, 09, 05
5: 03, 10, 12, 08
6: 05, 15, 15, 12
I think you attack, spend a sword, and lose a heart when you run into an enemy while you have swords. Otherwise, you just lose a heart.
Really fun!
Edit a day later: And addictive, lol
Fun
I'm sorry to ask this but i feel like i've broken all of the blocks in the room several times but still can't open the door, am i doing something wrong?
A fun little game! When I started I was looking for clarification on what the "poker hands" work, and I think it's misleading because it seems like it really only cares about multiples. But once I got the hang of it I was hooked!
Very nice! Finished on maybe 5th attempt. Score of 240. Didn't realize there was a shop until 4th attempt :D
My god this is addictive.
